Dwemer Pets Mounts

Post » Sun Aug 25, 2013 11:16 am

Wishful thinking but does anyone think we'll see the posibility for Dwemer automaton pets or mounts? Always loved steampunk and the Dwemer are probably my favorite race in ESO due to their creations.

*To clarify, I'm not asking for the Dwemer themselves as pets or mounts.

wow ... that would be so awesome, and also the dwemer steam armor just like they had in the mod for skyrim.

I LOVED that mod! that armor was incredible, and sweet

having a steam centurian just like morrowinds steam centurian and how it comes out of a ball is just awesome idea. I vote yes! please do

EDIT: they should be able to attack as well.. and defend a place or act as guards for our homes that we might eventually get .. hehe

No, I don't want lore breaking. It is reasonable to maybe "re-program" a Dwemer automaton somehow and they do exist, like Hlaren said. Yes, it's far off but it doesn't break lore or reach any kind of silly out-of-game levels (i.e. like Diablo as a pet in WoW) so why not.

I suppose so, but it probably wouldn't be a common thing in the universe of TES...but imagine if it was put in the cash shop, we'd have loads of em running around.

It's possible, but as of yet we haven't seen any Dwemer mounts. I suppose it would be a cool reward for a Dwemer ruin raid but on the other hand I'd really rather not see hundreds of people riding Dwemer spiders or something.

one way or another your going to see almost 100% of all people with both mounts and pets of some kind all over the place .. that's pretty much the staple in mmo's

nothing new there ...

and about the dragons, im sure thatfrom day one of eso's creation it was already decided that probably near the later years of eso (in like 3 years maybe less) you will see dragons .. if not as world bosses they will be as perhaps mounts or in some way be in eso world. <-- just my opinion

there will be mounts and pets all over the place. having dwemer centurians or the like will not be something way out of the proper setting .. infact they fit right in-line with elderscrolls

Like I said, it has to be very lore friendly for me to be able to accept it...hell, even Guar might make decent pets/mounts (in Morrowind they were seen being used as pack animals) but I really don't want to see a thousand people wandering around with a giant rainbow colored Netches...

The kind of pets people usually have in the Elder Scrolls world are generally animals that people keep as pets in the real world.

Well, the ponies were for Hobbits and Dwarves, it makes sense. :)

Since neither are in TESO you should be fine.

Somehow I knew.

I would be fine if there were only horses, although I wouldn't mind seeing some guar for Dunmer, Senche for Khajiit etc.

Besides, with so many new provinces the artists will be able to come up with plenty of new creatures/mounts which fit the lore.

What about a dragon with a Dwemer jetpack on its back and a ballista on its head?

if we dunmer could have the guar as pets would be awesome cause we could use them as according to lore, and have them as for carrying things, like a huge cart as was intended in ES SP, but to have them as mounts would be a no no imo

the khajiit would probably love having them and used for a traveling caravan for sales as well. (just beware that the Khajiit traveling caravan guars will probably be 100% stocked with stolen goods) caveat: buyer BEWARE!

While of course they aren't mounts, it just occured to me if there are going to be Silt Striders in Morrowind in ESO?
