How mad would you be if lottery boxes were in-game

How mad would you be if the only way to attain certain items in game was via lottery boxes? This is ultimately the biggest reason I don't still play SWTOR. I mean that game had other issues as well, but me for it was the straw that broke the camel's back. I wouldn't of minded so much if I had the option of out right purchasing cosmetic items with real life money, but having to gamble for cosmetics is just insane in my opinion.

This is why they are going P2P to prevent this type of thing existing in an Elder Scrolls game.

Yeah, hopefully this won't happen with P2P. I know there will be a cash shop with cosmetic items though according to recent interviews. I honestly don't know if I would still play the game if lottery boxes appeared in it. It's such a disgusting practice.

The cash shop will be similar to the one for World of Warcraft, it will offer services, and vanity items nothing that will ever effect core game play. No one will be at an advantage or disadvantage if they buy or not buy from the shop unless you consider having a different costume than yours.

you do have to admit and understand that this is eventually going to happen somewhere along the line.

I mean think about it .. 3 years from now when new people are still coming in they will probably be offering exp boosts just to allow new comers to get to lvl 50 in 3- 4 days just like the other mmo's have so that the new comers are able to get to endgame content quickly to join the fun with the rest of us

am I wrong?

Do I want them in the store? No.

Do I care what they sell as long as it is just visual fun crap? No.

Let them make money anyway they want as long as I get to play my P2P ESO in peace.

I'm not sure I'd stop playing, but that is a huge deal to me...I've always hated "chance" items, because 99% of the time, you're not going to get what you want, so the company is banking on the gambling addictions of the players, who are saying "Well, maybe I'll buy one more and what I want will be there" and blowing wads of cash. I myself am guilty of being one of these guys. I blew over 250$ on SWTOR chance items (didn't get what I wanted by the way) in one night and the following day I swore off chance items for good and shortly after unsubbed from the game. It's a horrible HORRIBLE business practice; completely dishonorable and imo a big fat middle finger to everyone who has and who will play the game. I'd be really on the fence if they implemented this, but my gut feeling now is that unless the game was really THAT brilliant, they would lose me as a sub.

If lottery boxes came into the game I would quit on the day they went live. I hated them in Defiance and STO, they are just money grab so people will buy keys to open them up and hope for a decent item.

If it is just vanity items, why would it bother you?

The reason I ask is, I will probably never use the in game store at all, so I don't care what they sell, as long as it is vanity junk.
