Will there be Bikini Armor?

Will there bikini armor in teso?

just google for: "Main/Chainmail Bikini" if you don't know what a bikini armor look like.

Also a a really bad example for stuff like that is the game Blade & Soul

I really don't like stuff like bikini armor or similar stuff that better suits in pormomovie than games.

I understand that alot young gamers have a big fetish for stuff like that, but i think there are better places than an mmorpg to satisfy desires like that

There was a quite big discussion on these forums some time ago.

Some people were throwing a huge fit about the screenshot where the Breton girls was seeing in an armor that had a "boob window". Some people felt really offended by it.

Chainmail bikinis and stuff aren't really been in The Elder Scrolls games before and ZOS has said they try to keep things lore-friendly so I doubt we'll see them.

The eso main site has nice picture of a female breton wearing heavy armor; she's completely covered up except the mid-forearms and head.

I bet there will be more female characters created by men than females created by females.

Weird/disturbing question .. How do you immerse in that?

I make my warriors and mages male. I make my thieves and clerics female. Always have, always will. I'm old school D&D. I see each character as just another opportunity to have fun.

Enjoying a game / the characters you play don't always require a full immersion.

I understand that. Hence, the second question question.

But in your experience, doesn't it amplify the enjoyment?

I don't understand how the six of a character can effect immersion. /shrug

In games where I might end up in character, or role playing, I'd feel very uncomfortable trying to portray a female.

Cross dressing, even if only virtually, is not quite my cup of tea.

That said, I'm quite fond of the armour in Skyrim, and think the ladies should have the option to go full plate without looking half naked, or pick something along the lines of what Aela the huntress is wearing, or the Forsworn.

Basically, leave the choice up to the person that would wear the armour, but bikini armour should offer less protection then a sturdy full plate.

Are you not talking about the six of a character one chooses has an effect on immersion, cause your first statement above sure makes it look like that.

I play as female characters frequently, gender doesn't really change the aspect of playing the game as a character for me. I'm certainly not planning to play as myself, as I'd just be sitting around all day.

I don't like bikini armour though, I prefer realism and subtlety and such.

It looks like I'm asking those that immerse in female characters, "how do they do it" then a couple of posts later "if they do it".

While I am not advocating the "chainmail bikini" as a form of ARMOR, it might be nice to have the option to have that appearance for roleplaying sake, sort of like they have 'disguises' to make one look like a bandit you could have a 'disguise' to look like a serving wench / dancing girl (although admittedly it's unlikely they'd have gender-specific missions).

For spellcasters and others who prefer light armor, I could also see the appeal of, not "chainmail" bikini, but a more ~revealing~ set of "armor" since mobility is the important factor. I never saw how a mage could nimbly move around with heavy robes on, anyway.

no different than playing Tomb Raider really.

I'm guilty of making the odd female mage or crafting alt. I had a sword wielding character named Choson Lao way way back in Early Asheron's Call and I made a crafting alt named Choson's Woman who cooked healing foods for him. Choson bought her a nice Red Dress and one day she was standing in town chopping mushrooms wearing this red dress and ended up having 4 guys running out into the woods to find her more mushrooms. I cant believe it was just the few pyreals I was paying per basket! LOL

All I could do was laugh about it and think, "what a bunch of noobs"

Ahahaha..

Forsworn armor, fur armor, nocturnal's robes, and ancient nord armor.

Your definition of lore friendly might be different from mine, but there are some forms of "chainmail bikinis" in TES games, and advlt themes certainly aren't new to TES.

This is unrelated to what you've said, but when people start bringing up the "chainmail bikinis ruin my immersion" and that those wearing them should take more damage, then fireballs need to spell out death, and anyone wearing plate armor should take 10x as much damage from shock spells. People wearing cloth armor shouldn't be more resistant to flames than someone wearing armor, people should die much much faster etc. Take your pick, there are more immersion breaking things out there, it's much more reasonable to say you don't want those kinds of themes in your game and leave it at that.

Then there's the whole "I don't want those kinds of advlt themes in my games" argument. It's totally fine to feel that way, and to want that in a TES game, but when people start saying that line of thinking is the only line of thinking in a TES game, or that no one even likes skimpy armor in a TES game, that's when they're wrong. Looking at the nexus, and the sheer amount of mods that are skimpy armor mods and how many downloads they have, that playerbase is absolutely massive and shouldn't be taken lightly.

With all that said, it is ZOS' game, and not Bethesda's game, they can take whatever direction they want with it. So long as people don't keep forgetting that those kinds of themes already exist and are already popular and becomes the justification for why there isn't any skimpy armor, then there won't be a problem. If it's simply a design choice and they're targeting a certain audience, that's fine. If they're trying to attract a TES audience though, saying that only TES players don't like skimpy armor would be a lie.

:lmao: the thirst

I play mandatory female characters but I can't in all honesty immerse in them. I play Lara Croft, I don't imagine myself as Lara Croft.
