The Monks of Tamriel

Post » Tue Aug 27, 2013 7:35 pm

I have always loved playing hybrid and support classes. I wanted to play a monk in skyrim but the mechanics did not allow for it as hand to hand was not supported without mods.

My question is: Does anyone have any information on hand to hand or staff combat? I can't really seem to find any. I could potentially make a mace wielding monk with a healing staff off hand but I would love the idea of hand to hand and staff as a secondary.

A templar with a mix of light and medium armor who supports his team mates with auras, healing and a few bashes over the head.

If I recall, Quazar mentioned that when he played the game at a convention that he used a staff. As far as hand to hand combat goes, I don't think there's any word on that.

Don't take my word for it as fact, because I can't recall where (or even if) I read/heard it, but I think one of the devs at some point confirmed that there is no unarmed combat in the game. I might be wrong, though. I hope I am, in fact.

No hand to hand but what about fist weapons? I don't mean totally unarmed. Something like brass knuckles or a kali stick comes to mind.

I guess I will be using a mace... Which I hate the most of the lot.
