A Warning to Zenimax

This is a warning to Zenimax, ESO future.

There is a phenomenon whereby a specific group of people become ''Yes sayers'' to a authority for various reasons. And this group is separated from a majority who thinks differently to the yes sayers

The majority are quiet in forum / Speaking out kind of sense when it comes to official forums in contrary to when they stumble across a topic about the subject on their homeplane, whichever forum or place that may be.

The recent announcement of the 14$ subscription fee have left ESO credibility amist of the ''try out'' demographic severely scarred, the hope of a MMO not governed by their greed much like Blizzard is fading.

And I quote from another forum ''I was slightly intrigued at first, but I guess they're not interested in the "slightly/kinda/sorta willing to try out" demographic.'' This is the general response to the announcement from what I've seen.

My point to Zenimax/Bethsaida/ESO whoever is creating this game is that: Don't trust your own devotees when it comes to publicity and marketing (The yes sayers).

My advice for you as a company is to check forums completely outside yourself, to get a feeling of what the majority thinks and how their thoughts and hesitations affect ESO public image especially about this announcement.

One of the highly controversial reasons why Blizzard is dying today is because of their greed and betrayal siping into their audience, it can be debated of course. But the fact stands that you have chosen the exact same monthly amount as the now infamous MMO giant.

You reap what you sow; Sow generously and efficiently and you will reap such; Sow scantly, expecting abundance is foolishness.

Side note - Not relevant to the argument

I'm in favour of monthly payment however the amount are carelessly chosen.

In my opinion a 5 euro monthly subscription fee is acceptable, and avoids the Blizzard label all past wow players detest, cheap enough to make it a oversight sum.

PS: I truely hope even if you decide to keep the amount, that you succeed. Good luck, God bless.

$15/month is inconsequential if the game delivers.

Translation: "Dear Zenimax. Everyone that agrees with the sub fee is what I will refer to as a 'yes sayer.' Ignore them because they don't share the same opinion that I do."

My comment: Zenimax, please do not listen to the doomsayers or the nay-sayers either.

I've been playing TES games since Morrowwind and MMOs since I was in college. A subscription fee to play an MMO that I feel is entertaining is well worth it. It's far less than going to the movies every weekend for a month and it provides daily entertainment as opposed to 1.5-3 hours of it one day per week. And, looking at some of the movies coming out/out already, it's money better spent. We've had enough of the doom talk for the subscription fee. Put it to rest.

There are already a few threads discussing the payment plan.
