into A fictional Universe...

Post » Wed Aug 28, 2013 6:25 pm

if you had to be "svcked in" to a fictional universe, and live the rest of your life within it, what Universe would you wish to be svcked into and why?

It could be from a game, a book, a movie, a TV Show, an Anime, a comic, etc...

its a tough choice, but for me I would like to be svcked into the world we see in the classic JRPG "Skies of Arcadia"....

the freedom of an Airship, lost relics and ruins to search for. making Discoveries of forgotten and mythic locations, ships to plunder and people to save, new frontiers to claim as your own...
I would join the Blue Rogues in a heartbeat...

so, what fictional universe would you like to be svcked into? and why?

Fallout world in a Post-House victory New Vegas.

If I had to pick another, either New Austin in Red Dead Redemption or world in the Song of Ice and Fire books, in particular Westeros.

Hmm, I'm not sure. I'd probably like to live in a universe that contains some features that can be explored for my own entertainment, for instance a documented and learnable form of magic.

Fallout, because living in a vault would be pretty interesting.

I always love these types of threads ^_^. Let's see:

Tenchi Muyo or Sailor Moon Universe would be rather bland until you got caught up in some wacky adventure, but normal till then.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic would a very interesting place to live once the magic turns you in to either a Pony, Pegasus or Unicorn.

The Elder Scrolls Universe would be another interesting place to live the life of an adventurer.

Tom Clancy's Universe---just enlist in the military to experience this lifestyle...However in the TC universe there would be SLAMS Uplinks that creates a missile shield so you wouldn't have to worry about nukes----but an Orbital Lazer, Kinetic Strike or MOABS would still be a threat.

Star Trek or Star Wars Universe would be fun for space explorers.

I guess the Elder Scrolls universe after the Oblivion unpleasantness has passed. Preferably as a responsibility-free academic at the Unseen-Arcane University with a nice cosy pub nearby, though I guess I'd prefer somewhere a bit quieter than a major city: maybe Chorrol mages guild.

Most other universes sound like they're far too much bother to me.

After the 1st week you'd probably be bored [censored]less, and have an extreme desire for fresh air and sunlight.

I'd pick the TES Universe or Harry Potter, because magic would be fun.

Tamriel if I can be an Argonian and pick where I want to live.

-or-

Equestria if I can be the pony I made for myself. (FYI: the one that is normally my avatar).

I heard most vaults provide UV lighting for vitamin D as well a vault filtration system for air.

Still doesn't compare to the real thing. Air still feels stale, and artificial UV light doesn't have the same feeling (if you've ever been in a tanning bed.) Though I can't say how fresh post nuclear air is.

None, personally. Most fictional universes have horrible problems within them, because that is what makes it interesting to read about. You think I'd want to live in a post-apocalyptic future with mutants like Fallout, or a land of dragons attacking villages in Skyrim, or the scary world of a horror film? Nope!

At least pick a reasonably nice universe, I say, like something from a children's show. Haha. It's safe!

I think I'd prefer the real world to almost every world that is in a piece of fiction I happen to be a fan of... I mean they're all really quite horrid.

Can we assume that we can become whatever anthropomorphic race we want to that populates this fictional world? If so, then:

Nirn, if I can be a Khajiit Dagi, or a Maormer. Either one would be cool to experience, as Khajiit have jungles and deserts, while Maormer are, well, tropical elves; tropical places are awesome. :hehe:

FFIX world (forget what it's called. Gaia?), if I could be a Burmecian, though personality, or lack thereof, would probably make me a Black Mage. :/

FFXII world (I'm sure Ivalice is a continent, not the world itself). Though what race I would be, I'm not sure. Always liked the viera, but would I change six? Probably not; I'm sure there are some male viera out there. :)

And I can't remember a specific book series that had an awesome world in it, but I'll think of it later. :)

And then there's my own little world. :)

Personally, I'd like to see the Mass Effect universe. I want to head butt a Krogan.
