So, yeah.. Will upgrading CPU improve FPS, and how much?

Here is my specs :

Spoiler
Intel Celereon Dual Core E3400 2.6GHz
AMD Radeon 6670 Sapphire 1GB DDR5 Overclocked
6GB Ram
1366 x 768 (60Hz)

And planing to buy AMD FX 4350 4 core 4.2GHz, and do you think is it a good CPU, and how much will improve perforamnce of the game, and I know I need more VRAM then this. And don't really have big budget, so new GPU is not a option for me right now. My average FPS is around 32, but it does go up and down.

Spoiler
Information from Skyrim Performance Monitor

I did run texture optimization, use less Ram now, and have a lot less stutters.

And my game is heavily moded, so I could get more FPS, but I just love how my game looks right know, and could iprove it a lot more, but VRAM is biggest problem. And when install ENB Boost I get stuters back, and lover FPS, didn't really tried to tweak it, but will do that when sort other things.

So.. Thanks in a advance.

I'll be honest with you, the AMD FX CPU are not all that great...I have the FX 8320 and it struggles sometimes with Skyrim because Skyrim is very CPU bound...Single Thread IPC(Instructions Per Clock) are what matters in Skyrim.

You would be better off get an I-3 3420

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116773

It will run circles around ANY of the FX CPU in single threaded performance, and give higher frame rates in Skyrim then any of the FX CPU. Even though its a dual core, it supports Hyper Threading so it has 4 logical cores, Windows task manager will show 4 cores, each core can handle 2 threads and it wilkl be about 35-45% faster then the FX 4350 and its 4 dollars cheaper on newegg and it uses less power...55w vs 125 for the FX 4350.....

If I had it to do over again, I would have gotten I-5 instead of the FX 8320.

Also, these 125w TDP CPU like the Fx 4350, *320, and FX 8350 get really hot...its almost required to get a Aftermarket CPU cooler to keep then under the 61C max core temp...going over 61C on any AMD CPU can damage the chip if done too often.

In the money I have spent in aftermarket cooling, extra case fans and the such to keep my FX CPU under 61C I would have been better off just getting an I-5

Trust me...I am the biggest AMD fan boy in the world, I have been using their CPU and GPU for the last 10 years...but Intel is the way to go CPU wise. AMD still has IMO the best GPU for the price, but their CPU are not what they once were. The I-3 I listed will give you better framerates in Skyrim then the FX 4350....Best of luck to you.

Thanks for the response, and for explanation, I was also to get some advise from my uncle, he run PC store, and was to seek advice here first on what is best CPU for Skyrim.. I see that that Intel i3 you suggested is pretty much same price as FX 4350 in my country.. And what i5 do you suggest? So that I compare them, and see if it is worth buying i3 or i5..
