Music you listen to while Gaming?

Post » Thu Aug 29, 2013 4:39 am

when I am playing online games, I always hook up my stereo system and start playing music to get me into the mood...

the music I play depends on what I am playing....

If I am sniping in a Shooter, I often go with http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dm6xexu_wJY

If I am playing an MMO, I often listen in Instrumental Celtic Music by Adrian Von Ziegler, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kiI4Lz-KMn4

If I am playing a standard Infantry in a shooter (such as Planetside 2), can't go wrong with the real Mckenzies "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4UiwcKuh5Q"

and If I am in the mood for an RTS, nothing works better then rolling stones songs like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1zBG2TEjn4 or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkXIYgsvO0c!

So, what songs do you listen to to get you pumped up for an extended gaming session?

Only time I really do pick the music is in Rock Band 3 cause you know, I'm only gonna play songs I like XD.

Likewise. I listen to the game's own soundtrack. There's only one game I ever played music whilst playing and that was Minecraft, because mods like Technic Pack added horrible machine noises to the game.

Game's soundtrack or metal. Five Finger Death Punch, Disturbed, Alter Bridge, Killswitch Engage.

I was listening the Mortal Kombat Motion Picture Soundtrack while playing Mortal Kombat 9 (PC) Komplete Edition. It all blended together quite perfectly.

We can only discuss online games?
Seems rather odd.

Gaming is gaming. Being connected online or not has no influence on the music in my stereo.

Yes, look closer ;)

I never said they could "only" discuss online games, I was just pointing something out that the games I do listen to music while playing don't have much NPC dialogue

I think you guys are both right and wrong. "when I am playing online games" is the quote.

I only play single-player games, so it's the in-game sounds for me ;)

There are NPCs pvssyring in online games.

But I don't listen to music online or not.

If I'm playing an online game like TF2 or DotA then I like to listen to pretty chill stuff, because games like DotA can get pretty stressful.

I mainly listen to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVDSdDoD4Sg&feature=player_detailpage, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYSlTPrVQ5A, and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNyOm_JqIwI&feature=player_detailpage.

I never listen to other music when I'm playing games, although I have recently started listening to audiobooks while playing Minecraft.

This. Or I'll just switch off the sound entirely, sometimes it's nice to have some peace and quiet while playing a game. Usually only do that with handheld games though.

The title says "gaming". The OP says 'online gaming'.

Either way, I don't listen to music at all, if I can help it. that is... IF the game has a music control, I turn it off.
