I had a bit of apprehension at the mention of the 'Mega Server' technology as of course different players enjoy different aspects of an mmo. Myself enjoys PvP and Roleplaying, I was disappointed with Star Wars: The Old Republic as it didn't have many Roleplay utilities. For example the lack of chat bubbles above a players head when they speak, and a lack of variety of animated /emotions.
If you look at World of Warcraft's more populated Roleplay Servers, many players spend hours immersing themselves in the universe, Roleplaying and socializing, to this day, In character, with other players in taverns, streets and forests. Or even having organised massive PVP RP battles using third party software with the other faction, (Which is a lot of fun.)
I wonder if there will be a way for Role player's to have there own space, and I wonder what utilities will be provided to them. And I believe they are an important aspect to this game as they are the ones who may, or may not be sticking around in the long run.
