Importing New Audio

Anyone had any experience importing audio into rage? Specifically I am trying to import a new VO, but if I could get any external audio to work, that would be a good first step.

I created the directory:

(RageToolKit)\base\sound

And then added sub-directories:

(RageToolKit)\base\sound\vo\english\female_sentry\

Where I placed my wav files.

Now when I right click a directory in decl/voiceover and select "Import Wav into VO", I see the directory and the contents. But everything I click on gets a nasty beep noise.

When I try to use the "Import Wav to VO" function, I just get nasty beep sounds on the wav files.

I also noticed the files under compressed are msadpcm. I tried renaming one of those to .wav and throwing it in the directory, but it also got a beep noise. I thought about encoding the files directly, but I don't know if that would make a difference or where to get an encoder. I am pretty sure if I just throw files into the compressed directory they will get clobbered by the build system.

Anyone have any advice?
