The Night Mother vs the Thalmor

Post » Thu Sep 05, 2013 8:54 pm

What if.....what if.......what if somebody requested the DB took out the Thalmor leader? I mean, I know taking out the emperor is easier but if it was done by a team of capable, veteran, highly skilled and grizzly Dark Brotherhood assassins it could work. Supposing five of these guys were to undertake such a mission. Could it work with the help of the Night Mother?

Delphine got in to the Dominion and carried out numerous raids on supply stores and junk inside the Dominion while the Empire and Dominion were at war. Why couldn't the assassins?

Thoughts, ideas, how could it be done?

We don't know if the Thalmor even have a leader.

They have a king. Go to the politics section here: http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Summerset_Isles

They probably have a group of people leading it.
probably heavily guarded.

there is 1 possible way to kill the leader(s). Send in a group of Altmer dressed like thalmor and then kill the leader(s).

They have a king that runs the show.
The emperor was also heavily guarded.
That may work. However, there are thousands of Thalmor. Also, how would they get past the royal guards?

There is no Imperial influence in the Isles and Crystal-Like-Law was destroyed hence the Thalmor uprising.

Ah yes I didn't read that properly. However, the Dominion is more than likely to have a leader or a handful of them.

Yeah, good luck getting into Alinor.

Even if you DID get in there (and i stress if) youd most likrly need at least an Altmer or two, and no self respecting Altmer would ever join the DB.

The only race that would be let into Alinor (very suspiciously I may add) would be an Altmer who is known by its leaders.

Very rarely does the Dark Brotherhood take on contracts like that. The Emperor contract was a large exception, and only because 1.) Dark Brotherhood was as good as dead and desperate, and/or 2.) The Night Mother knew her Listener is a demi-God.

So, no.

Probably in that glass city.

You know, the one only Altmer can enter.

I think the Altmer Assassins might be able to do it, but only if they get real creative...

I don't think so. Delphine pulled off what she did because the Blades still had influence and were at large. The DB have none outside of Skyrim.

I assume you are referring to Alinor? I don't re-call it being called the glass city. But it is known as the most beautiful place on Tamriel. Complete with large towers made with crystalline, insectoid wings.

What if the speaker that is summoned to answer your prayers is also a double agent for the Thalmor?

How about find an old Altmer assassin who knows the Summerset Isles well from his long lifespan and can blend in, who will assassinate a Thalmor agent, take his clothes, hide the body, stowaway on a Thalmor ship returning to the Summerset Isles (like the one in Solstheim gathering Stalhrim), and blend in and gather information, find an opening, and execute his plan? Nothing's impossible, it just takes motivation.

Night Mother doesn't kill, she's more like a telegraph and less like magic. Well, she's a magical telegraph, but she can't kill.

That DB is in shambles is actually her fault. I can believe anyone still would rever hwr
