Official ESO Payment thread
This thread is for the discussion of the payment plan being used for the Elderscrolls Online, so that we can keep all discussion in one series of threads.

All other F2P, B2P, payment, subscription, etc, threads will be locked and directed here. Including polls.

Everyone has different opinions on this payment plan and how it will affect the game, and everyone has a right to express their opinion here. This means some of you are going to disagree with each other on some things. Accept that and be polite, or don't bother posting.

These threads will be moderated closely.
Do your part to report any problems that arise, instead of adding to the problem in the thread.

The most used arguments in the discussion:

Pro B2P:

• All P2P games fail within a year and go F2P
• GW2 is the fastest selling MMO of all time
• Console players have additional cost with their online games and won't pay subscription.

Pro P2P:

• Only bad P2P games go F2P, good ones stay P2P.
• GW2 has sold about 3 million copies in it's 1st year and have roughly 400 000 active players. A lot less than successful P2P MMO's.
• There are MMO's on console that have subscription.
• P2P MMO's get big patches and expansions.
• There are no B2P MMO's coming out in near future.
• No cash shop. Some say P2W shops.
