However, instead I went with the direct purchase from gamesas, and used the Metaboli download service that gamesas arranges for their site. First - installing the Metaboli downloader tool worked great, was very fast, but only thing to know is that with a Windows 8 computer you may need to align the download with a folder that the admin/user has permissions for.
Next, installing the game was just as simple, as it's just a few simple clicks with the Metaboli downloader.
Playing the games - I have a Windows 8 computer that is less than 1 year old, with no graphics card, and there are no problems opening and playing the games, to this point. The graphics and sound are looking and sounding good. I am also glad that I have not had to rely on 3rd party downloads to make it work, although gamesas may want to consider putting more detailed information about Windows version compatibility for their sales site. While the Windows symbol was there - initially I did not have full confidence that the Win 8 would work without patching it.
I will update this post in time when/if any problems arise, but I hope this gives confidence to any potential buyers direct from gamesas. I also felt good about the purchase - I assume the funds go more directly or in greater amount to the gamesas company than if you buy an old disc/box from a retailer.
