No Scripts on othe computers?

Post » Sun Sep 08, 2013 3:52 pm

So I've encountered a problem which may be obvious for some, but I have no idea why it happens. I've got a mod with different stuff in it - locations, weapons, NPCs. When I save it and start in Skyrim on my computer everything works fine. But when I take it somewhere else, like another computer, some content is in place and other is gone (like most scripts).
Do I need to do something particular to make it work properly?

Yes. Take the scripts and other stuff with you as well.

It's no good just taking the esp. You also need any meshes, textures, scripts etc the esp uses, with the correct directory path.

You could try packaging it all in a bsa, for example, but you would at least need to include the folders that have all the stuff you need when you zip it up. I tend to make a folder on the desktop and then copy everything into that before zipping it up.

So I'd have:

_shb_MyMod

|

|--->Data

|--->Meshes

| |

| |-->_shb_MyMod

|

|--->Scripts

| |

| |-->Source

|

|--->Textures

|

|-->_shb_MyMod

_shb_MyMod.esp

No problem. The most obvious answer is usually the right one!
