Absolutely fantastic article.
I want people to read this article and not have it buried in the back of a long thread.
Very well-written article.
Yet again, this is a taste of what the MMO culture is... I'm afraid the WoW days of 2004 are long since over, my friends.
It's a good article, I wouldn't say it's 100% accurate (Hearthfire is not 30 hours worth of content, more like 5 hours and ESO will have the 1st month free) but I do agree with the core elements of the article. This game is technically a new IP and it has some big shoes to fill and to fit in as well. For a game to have a sub model in this day and age, it needs to be good. I think that ESO has the chance to be good but will people jump on the price model, I would argue no, not with the success of Guild Wars 2 which has proven that you can do Buy to play and have it work without a subscription.
Probably just put it in here: http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1473102-official-eso-payment-thread-2/page-3
They are keeping this discussion limited to one thread.
Hey, why not use the thread that exists solely for discussion of the payment model? http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1473102-official-eso-payment-thread-2/
Thanks!
