See your guild mates that are in different faction

Post » Fri Sep 13, 2013 10:57 am

Well, I think in PvE areas you should be able to see your guild mates of opposite factions. You cant see them in Cyrodiil, but you could see them in PvE provinces, you could group with them to do an instance, not being able to attack them though.

I see this could add more stronger points in socialization in the guild, since your guild can have multiple members of oposite factions up to 300 members max based on the info we have.

This isnt lore breaking IMO either, because you see NPCs like argoninans in Daggerfall territory that actually gives you a quest (based on leaked beta video back in april of this year), so if that happens why players shouldnt be able to see each other and interact with each other without attacking each other in PvE territories.

This isnt gameplay breaker either, since the Megaserver phasing thing gives priority, if I remember correctly, the megaserver will put you with ppl of your guild and friends list first in your phasing.

So what you think? There should be able to see players of oposite faction but at same they are in your guild in PvE territories? Or you think its a deal breaker?

They already compromised by allowing us to explore the enemy faction zones after lvl 50.

ESO is a faction based game, you're just going to have to accept that and adapt.

Well, but you can communicate with them in the guild chat I think, so it would be good to see them too. We never know, I don't remeber in WoW vanilla there would be a Human NPC giving a quest to an Orc, only if that was in neutral towns, but in here we already saw an Argonian giving a quest to a Breton. WoW is pure faction game, but that is from Warcraft 1, it is because its lore, Elder Scrolls shouldn't be that way IMO. At least give us the ability to see players of different factions in PvE Zones (if they are in our guild), it gives us a good point to communicate with them (like I said), but this would be great for RP comunity too. Since in PvE zones you cant attack any players right? They didnt implement a duel feature either, so why we shouldnt see them?

Not gonna happen. Would ruin the lore of the game. The alliances are supposed to be at war with each other, not buddies going out and questing together.

The lore is that they are at war with each other. Sure a 1000 years later they aren't but during this time frame the lore clearly states they dont like each other.

The war is in Cyrodiil, not in the PvE areas, so then it is exacly the same to say if allow you to explore the other regions in lvl 50 to do 50+/++ content would break the lore because the npcs would like to attack you, even the npc races of diferent factions couldnt be in that territory because they would be attacked.

Lore says we are at war doesn't make sense for us to ve buddy buddy outside of Cyrodiil.

Not gonna happen. Just need to learn to deal with it. The game is faction based and they are at war and hate each other.

I'm dealing with it, already did back in June of 2012. But, still, what I see in the Lore is that the war is in Cyrodiil only, thats why ppl do pvp there and stuff. The PvE regions like for example, Skyrim, Summerset Isle and others, they are only having pve events. So when I start lets say with an Orc and after reaching lvl 50 and end up with my questline in Daggerfall convenant I will travel for AD territories. So if the game is 100% faction based then I wasnt suposed to be there, since NPCs would hate me for being an Orc, knowing that I m playing in the DC side. They would kill me the first chance they would get. So that doesnt happen I think, so why doenst make players appear since they tecnically they fight the same side the npcs do. So if a oposite member faction comes to my regions, if they dont anything wrong (like if it was possible to do) they can travel there as long as they want. So me as an Orc, I am travelling in AD territories, I see Altmers, Bosmers and others, why cant see my Altmers/Bosmers and other too? :D

Sorry if I am annoying, even if isnt deal brekaer for me the way they are doing this, but at same time I see that there should be some way to interact with your guild mates, either if they are in the same faction as you or if they are in diferent factions. IMO, that is the reason to have a guild, to socialize, to have fun together, to help each other. That way I think would be great, I cant see this being lore breaker, because the war between factions is in Cyrodiil, I think I didnt saw any article saying that is out of Cyrodiil too. I can be worng though

I agree but more for RVR/AvA reasons. It would hurt faction rivalry and make your faction feel less meaningful. Additionally it would be awkward being used to seeing a shape of an enemy race consistently as someone to kill, then going questing together, then going back and killing eachother again later and not instinctively thinking "Ok, I see an Elf-like shape, it's an enemy" when you're in RVR. As for lore, they are at war with eachother, that doesn't mean only in one location, it means they're at war. If you want to play with your friends, roll allied races rather than sworn enemies., in my opinion.
