Lets put it like this if there is ever going to be Dragon Mounts in TESO or a Akavir invasion/playground I will not be playing this game. I do not want a WoW v2. I want a TES game.
Disagree. Dragon mounts make everything a little bit better.
Will there be dragons then?
Of course it will be. It's an MMO as well, it can't just all be TES-based. You can't have a choice for everything in the game; some things need to be forced.
Paul Sage stated in an interview that they had big plans for dragons at one point. In other interviews he has stated that there will be no dragons, and if they decide to add them it will not be at launch.
If people are interested, someone did a lot of work putting together a lot of the lore and history:

Those videos are good for what they are. I think of them as a very basic introduction to the topics or a sort of quick and dirty run down for people who don't like to read.
ShoddyCast definitely makes mistakes though and there are some glaring omissions in the videos as well.
I personally think the "how to become a lore buff" on the lore forum is much better. http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1112211-how-to-become-a-lore-buff/
Heck someone could just read the http://uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Pocket_Guide_to_the_Empire,_1st_Edition and the http://uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Pocket_Guide_to_the_Empire,_3rd_Editionand they'd already know more than if they watched all of the ShoddyCast videos.
I'd recommend the vid series to people who find videos more entertaining than reading and also don't care all that much about detail.
Yes. The videos are an okay overview though, and he does point out the "history is written by the winners" take on things. While I do read the in-game books, I know there are some players who don't like to do that.
Totally agree with that. They're good because they are entertaining and reach a wide audience. I could never fault someone who is spreading the lore to more people, even though he doesn't take kindly to corrections (even when sourced.)
