Hearing people's voices when on Skype?

Post » Sat Sep 21, 2013 5:41 am

Is it possible to pick up cross-talk on Skype? Twice now, around a month apart, I have logged into Skype and heard what sounds like someone talking. I'm not in a call or anything, so I shouldn't hear anything besides notification sounds. I thought it was some virus, but malwarebytes and AVG cannot find a thing.

Sounds like the beginning of a Ghost Whisperer episode.

Well, I can assure you that it did happen. I thought it might be some form of virus, but Microsoft Security Essentials, AVG or Malwarebytes couldn't pick a single thing up.

Do you really need to ask if Skype is free of charge?

Jodie Foster or some sort of delusions.

I used to pick up cell phone conversation on my old cellphone I used to think it was viruses too but knew it was alien interference from radio frequencies

No viruses are being flagged yet. No malware, no running ads, nothing. I'm just a little bit worried as to whether I have some virus, or is it just cross-talk? I've had it twice, both when turning on Skype.
