Worth continuing?

Hi all,

I recently bought the DVD version of Rage for $19.95, so thought it would be a good deal, considering how much it cost when it was released. Man, was I wrong! This is worst game ever put out by Id Software! I know Carmack had apologized for Rage in his QuakeCon 2013 speech.

The textures are horrible, even witih the fixes I found here and elsewhere. They honestly look like textures from the late '90s. The gameplay is really bad. I find myself unable to explore most of the game, contrary to what the game screens encourage me to to, explore! There are lots of hidden walls and barriers to exploration. The game is extremely linear, whether by design or by accident.

So, should I continue on in the game? I have just completed getting the medical supplies mission. I really want to give this game a chance, but find it myself really not caring if I finish it or not.

Does it get better later on in the game?

Thanks all!

P.S. Here are my machine specs:

Intel I5 2500K @3.2

Asus P8P67 Pro Ver 3.0

GSkils 4G DDR

Win 7 Home

WD 1.5T HD

SB Audigy

Logitech 5.1 speakers

VisionQuest 24" @1900x1200x32bit

Well, sure it gets better, if you like it to begin with.

If you find yourself really disliking it, well then that's that.
