Weather you share the same opinion as me or not, I would very much like to see TESO as an 'M' rated title. not for the sake of being an 'M' rated game, but for the sake of the game experience. now hear me out, I am only one gamer but I am entitled to my opinion and this is just as important to me as any other topic on this forum. first off I want to say that Bethesda and ZOS have a great reputation for listening to the community and really taking in an account for what we say and post about their games. Hopefully an official will read this and understand why an 'M' rated title is important to me and those who share my opinion. the difference in 'm' rated games from other titles is that they have a higher degree o explicit content. this can be anything from vulgarity and violence to sixual situations and gore. but having those for the sake of having them isn't at all what I want. to me, and the majority of you, it is about the gaming experience and how a game emerges a player into that game. telling a story, developing characters and getting to experience that game, well, there are few words to define that feeling. I am a console gamer, I wish I could afford the obviously superior PC gaming lifestyle, but I cant. not everyone can. I have never played an MMO and have only heard about the endless possibilities and experiences in these MMO games. I love TES series with a dying passion. I didn't know a real RPG experience until I picked up my first ES game, which was oblivion. I soon after played the prequels and when skyrim released I didn't even have a concept of the outside world. these games were so immersive because they made me feel like I was in another world. it was the little things; the Nordic mede, realistic combat and gore, unpredictable violence, the story, the thievery, the killing, the massive lore and who could forget about the skooma addicted khajiits that you sometimes ran into from time to time. it was the little things in these worlds that made me feel like I was apart of it. when ESO was announced I nearly [censored] a ton of bricks. finally! multiplayer in an ES title. what else could you hope for in a game? it wasn't until recently where I read that ESO would be a 'T' rated game - or was likely to be a 'T' rated game. this greatly unsettled me. some of my favorite things in the ES series could be jeopardized into being removed to meet the 'T' rating standards. all because 'm' rated MMO's are unpopular and don't make as much money as the 'T' MMO's do. or perhaps the goal is to appeal to a wider verity of audience, a younger crowd. whatever the reasoning behind this 'T' business is, it surely cant outweigh the loss of key components and countless memorable situations that the elder scrolls has brought me. its not that 'M' titles don't selI as much as the other games, just look at GTAV which sold 18+ million copies in the first week. I hope the ESO release is twice as better. look, I don't have to spell everything out when it comes to game ratings and such, but surely I cant be the only one here that wants ESO to be an 'M' title. here's to hoping that The Elder Scroll: Online is a mature rated game.
