Do you want the view distance increased?

I think the view distance in this game is horrendous from what I've seen in some of the videos and screen shots. I understand that part of the need for this is to minimize the lag during AvA and everything, but still. This is 2013 and this game has perhaps the most absurd amount of fog out of any MMORPG recently released. It looks like Morrowind, but with higher resolution textures and polygon count. Don't get me wrong, I think the graphics are amazing for the most part, but at the same time they're kind of ruined by this ubiquitous fog.

The Games good graphics are going to come and bite it in the backside when there are over 100 people on screen, all using abilities at the same time. The draw distance makes sense IMO.

I can understand having presets for the consoles, but I'm certain that many people who are playing it on PC will be able to handle 200+ players on screen at once as well as an increased draw distance. From my understanding, ZOS will be limiting the PC's draw distance to match that of the consoles, despite whether your rig can handle an increase or not, which I think is a little unfair.

Also, I think it definitely makes sense during AvA, but why not increase the draw distance outside of Cyrodiil during PVE?

Wait, you're comparing a game still in beta and still in pre-release development to games that are not in beta and have been released?

We also don't know the graphics settings on the machine used for the screenshots.

I didnt know LOTRO had that good graphics, now i wish ive played it on my free time -__-

About the distance, i think it should depend on our GPU. Just like it did on skyrim. Allow us to go very high distances with a best GPU

I agree, but from what I've seen and heard the draw distance will be the same across the board with only a marginal difference between high graphical settings (consoles) and ultra high (PCs).

There are three points:

1. Landscape quality - I really do not see reason why should be degraded becuase of console players can not have it, I guess they can not have it in any game

2. Static objects quality, textures quality and fade - same as above

3. Players fade distance - I think there is some limit of network traffic, so to make same chances for all (just imagine how big advantage you get in PvP when you could se enemy while they can not see you) make sense to have limit

I also think that if anyone has any gripes or complaints, now is the time to bring it up because after release they won't have as many resources to fix whatever it is we think is faulty.
