Do you want an official ESO wiki?

So I'm currently playing guild wars 2 until ESO comes out and I can't help but admire how comprehensive their official wiki page is. I would love for ZOS to make something like this for ESO.

Just like practically every other video game ever made, I'm sure the community will put together a comprehensive wiki when the game is released.

And since there is no official wiki for TES.... I don't think an "official" one will happen.

Actually... do any video games have "official" wikis. The definition of a wiki is that is created and maintained by the public, not the developers.

I think the appeal of an official wiki (like guild wars 2) is that it's endorsed as thee wiki by the parent company, making it more likely to attract contributors than fan made wikis and thus, more comprehensive.

But it's not official. It clearly states at the very top of the wiki homepage "written and maintained by the players".... therefore not an official site of the developers

There are three TES wikis I can think of... and none are official.
The Diablo series has two wikis... neither are official.
Dark Souls also has two wikis... not official.
And some series have one big popular one, like Final Fantasy... but still not official.

My point being that wikis are run by the fans, not developers, and I'm sure that there will be a 3 or 4 ESO wikis being made in the next year.
I look forward to seeing them all, as different sites sometimes explain and interpret things differently.

To me, "official" means the developers are stating the facts.
A "wiki" is the fan's interpretation of the facts.

UESP is the only TES Wiki that matters. And they've already started on ESO:

I see no reason to not just add to the UESP they have been with the series just about longer than there have been wikis.
