So my friend just told me that Justin Bieber apparently is being considered for Robin in the new Superman movie that has Batman in it. He said Bieber posted a picture of himself with the script and had a hashtag saying Robin.

Now I have nothing really against Bieber, but that is the dumbest decision they could possibly make for that movie, people are already upset with Ben Affleck being Batman. If this is true, then they are trying to make this movie be the biggest flop in movie history. I can't take him seriously, let alone as the SIDEKICK to BATMAN!

What are your thoughts on this? Is this true or false?

I know, I hope this is not real, I would very disappointed. Again nothing personal against Bieber, I just can't see him as Robin.

Movie Bob, over on the Escapist, posted a video about this. Among other things he has some fairly good evidence that this is a clever fake.

Sorry to break it to you but Hollywood only cares for profits. Hollywood figures that Bieber(if it's true) is a mega star internationally, so Holly is betting their money on that. Besides, Robin is a frivolous character anyways.

I know this is true that Hollywood only cares about profits, but this is extreme since he is not even an actor. Having him in such a big movie would be blatantly obvious that they did it for publicity, not to have a talented actor for the role.

I disagree with that though. Robin plays a serious role to Batman, he ends up as Nightwing, if we are talking about dike Grayson, and Jason Todd gets killed by Joker which takes its toll on Batman. I think Robin is a big role in Batman.

Has Robin changed from the one in the 60's?

Like he would be allowed to break the news on twitter like that. Pretty sure most actors have to sign a confidentiality clause for bigger roles.
