I've been reading a lot about TESO lately and from what I can conclude is that the Ebonheart Pact is going to have a tremendous amount of players compared to the other two alliances. How will the other two alliances maintain an effort when being constantly out numbered? Will buffs be applied, or will the other two alliances have to constantly team up to fight off the Ebonheart Pact?

I really wanted to play an Argonian. However with the Ebonheart Pact leaning to be the over-populated power house, I am going to join one of the other alliances. I estimate that there will be three Ebonheart Pact players for every one AD, and DC player. 3:1.

Not anymore, the recent polls seems to say they are evening out.

According to the last poll done over at TF, the ratios aren't that far off.

Ebonheart - 31.9%

Daggerfall - 29.0%

Aldmeri - 26.5%

Undecided - 12.6%

I've seen polls go up and down but there doesn't seem to be a huge difference between the factions.

That's a tiny and limited poll though. Its hard to say its accurate.

The official enrollment numbers on Tamriel Foundry have EP at 41%, DC at 27%, and AD at 32%. That's based on a sample of 11,378 players, instead of just over 2,000.

Serious Note:

Don't forget that things will be broken up into campaigns. So the total numbers don't affect you that much. What matters is the population balance in your own campaign, which will vary.

So is it actually possible in this game for a single pact to overyake the others and actually win cyrodill or is that just the idea? Or is it more of like when the stormcloaks took over in skyrim?

The Cyrodiil campaigns will stack teams as evenly as possible to make the teams as balanced as they can be.

The entire thing is that There are going to be keeps/castles/etc that the factions are going to fight over, (think planetside 2) and whenever all keeps are taken and controlled by one faction the person with the most alliance points (gotten by defending/capturing keeps mostly, though you get some for just PVPing in Cyrodiil) will get the title of emperor and get a powerful special skill line. When one of the keeps is taken over again and the control is broken, the emperor loses his title, but gets to keep a balanced version of the skill line.

If you go to the home page of the Tamriel Foundry and look on the right side of the screen, you will see flags for each alliance. Hover your cursor over the flags and it will give you percentages. Those are the percentages of the numbers of people on Tamriel Foundry who have declared for each Alliance.

I'm pretty sure the emperor doesn't lose his title until another faction captures all 9 keeps, not just 1.
