Looking for a good SCI-Fi show

Post » Tue Oct 08, 2013 9:57 pm

I've been jonsing for a science fiction show of late and cant seem to find any recommendations among my real world buddies, so I thought I'd try asking on here.

Looking for something slightly modern 90's to current space/action adventure but I'm open to all suggestions.

To narrow the field of suggestions I'll rattle off the series I've already watched.

StarTrek all of em
Farscape
Babylon5
BattleStar Galactica new and old and all spin-offs
Dr. Who
Lexx
StarGate and all associated shows and movies
Charlie Jade

Those are all I can think of off the top of my head

so any quality sci-fi shows you guys can reccomend will be greatly appreciated

I think you'd enjoy the X-Files, especially if you chose to watch only the main story-arc episodes, and avoided the monsters-of-the-week episodes. It's the best sci-fi show of our generation.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andromeda_(TV_series) comes to mind..
its nothing overly fantastic and a little corny, but its a decent sci-fi show to sit down to with beer in hand... I mean, how often do you get to watch Hercules command a space-cruiser?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X-Files is just great series, the adventures of good ole Dana Scully and Fox Mulder..
X-Files is a series everyone should watch, regardless of being sci-fi or not... (to bad the movies weren't that good though)

Why would you do that?

Some of the non-mythology episodes are the best episodes of the show, and there's a lot of character development, back story, and connection to the mythology in them.

Watch the entire series, and the movies.
