ARCANUM 2

Post » Fri Oct 11, 2013 2:21 am

After playing awesome CRPG Arcanum : Of Steamworks and magick obscura

I relized that ARKANE studios would be the best dev to make Arcanum 2 with Dishonored gameplay style.

Arcanum is great steampunk game as Dishonored.

How do I contact devs for this idea?

There is this little thing called a license. That would be needed.

Arkane would need to aquire it first. Don't even know who currently holds the license for Arcanum games.

Plus, they are probably happy with their current workload.

Arcanum was developed by 3 person with help of additional 9 person.

What is Arkane next project?

But the license itself was held by Troika games (Defunct) and Sierra Entertainment (Bought by Activision and defunct)

Activision may still hold the license through it's aquisition of Sierra and until it elapses , nobody can just up and make a game without purchasing the license. Even if it's lapsed, it'd still need to be purchased

As for their next project, could be Dishonored 2, could be Prey 2, could even be something new. As yet, there's nothing solid.

Guys, what are your ideas about Arcanum 2 with modern engine and with gamplay as Dishonored?

Are devs reading this forum?

Only occasionally. This is primarily a gamer forum, so you'll only rarely see an actual dev on.

edit: It's even rarer that they'll even take game ideas from forum users. In fact, such a thing has never happened, ever.

As for Arcanum in the style of Dishonored. I honestly don't see it working, not every isometric RPG is going to translate well to a FPS perspective to begin with.
