My first foray into Elder Scrolls was Skyrim, which svcked me in like no game has since Quake (dammit, now I've aged myself).
One little problem I had was the unintuitive mouse keys.
Left mousekey = right hand
Right mousekey = left hand
It took a very long time to get to the stage where using these keys without having to think about it became the norm, partly because the very moments when I had to think about it I was struggling for my life and my actions were very reactionary.
Could I suggest adding an option to the UI to swap mousekeys? I realise that if you have hard-coded the keys into the software this is a big change, but equally if you have soft-coded the keys it is a trivial change, and such a minor option being available to the players would greatly facilitate easing them into the game.
I know I am a dinosaur - I remember ARPA, using Gopher and having to write software in assembly so it could fit into the 2k of available RAM (probably why I liked Syrim so much, it reminded me of the days of my youth when the slogan "sometimes, the dragon wins" was a mantra for programmers) - but even us old fossils would like to jump in and have a go at slapping a daedra or two in the face.
