Simple Mod for Legendary Iron and Fur?

Post » Sun Oct 13, 2013 11:53 am

I heard the USP adds legendary iron and fur but I would prefer to have a simple mod that does this. Ideally including them under the initial smithy perk.

Anyone know a good mod?

Out of curiosity, what's your reason for not using the USP to begin with?

I don't know, I guess I could use it. I planned to eventually, but I was wondering if I could plug in a quick mod right now.

Will the USP break my save? Climates of Tamriel? Duel combat?

Break? What do you mean?

Every mod that adds scripts will have those scripts permanently added to your saves.

As far as I know, the USP doesn't add any new scripts, it just fixes errors in vanilla scripts.

So yes, I suppose it would "break" a save if you tried to continue the same save without it, but that would be exactly the case with any other mod as well.

If you're so concerned with "breaking", don't use any mod that adds or changes scripts. Period.

I am using all the Unofficial Patches as well as Climates of Tamriel and Duel plus another 100 - no broken saves here.

What I mean is it alters the scripting for quests I've possibly already begun-but the comments on the Nexus page don't seem to show the unofficial patch being problematic for anyone. So I'll back my saves up give it a go! Thanks!

You're more likely to "break" your save by not using the unofficial patches as far as I'm concerned. I think of the unofficial patches as part of the vanilla game.

Any mod that is worth downloading will be compatible with the USP. If a mod is not compatible with the USP it is poorly made and should not be used.

Question: I loaded the USP but I still cannot smith iron as much as I can a perked material. e.g. Iron smiths to exquisite whereas steel smiths to flawless. Am I missing something?

Should I install Legendary Smithing Upgrades by Lucubration?

Not sure where you heard that but the USKP does not change the current tempering of iron or fur. You'll need to find a mod that adds some kind of leather and iron perk to be able to do that.
