Another forum member wrote of their dislike of a gear rating system to determine if someone was qualified for a dungeon/raid. I generally agree since player skill is equally important. I also would much prefer a raid with people that have fun and wipe a few times than a group that completely goofs off or that is humorlessly hardcoe.
What about a player rating. You meet someone you like or dislike in the world or on a raid and you can rate them in 3 categories: PVP, PVE and amiability (friendliness). Each player has complete control over who sees the score. So if you don't want to share it no one can know it. I would see this useful for raids, guilds and PVP groups.
Everyone would get a bad rating from time to time but the average would reflect a players skill and how they get along with others. This to me far outweighs a number based on gear stats. It would add accountability to trolls and players that just like to be nasty to others.
