heroic class at endgame

Post » Thu Oct 17, 2013 3:31 am

I thought it would be an awesome idea for a heroic class that would only be available upon reaching max level on a character. Tons of endgame is a must but leveling alts can and should be a fun experience. I would greatly enjoy starting a new toon that had a few skill lines that really set it apart from the typical classes.

What are your thoughts on such a system? What are some ideas for class or skills you would like to see for such a class

Heroic classes are a terrible idea. No developer ever needs a reason to boost one class above any other, it promotes imbalance in gameplay. Fine example is the first introduction of Death Knights in WoW, which I assume is where you're getting the idea from.

There really aren't defined classes in this game, so it's a little unnecessary. There will probably be, however, class trees that are only open once you hit max level that those specific characters can then develop.

The class shouldn't be boosted above another and ahould be balanced. In fact I hadn't even meant that it ahould start at a higher level. I meant to suggest there ahould be a class that is available to start a character at level one, but onlty unlocks if you have a toon at max level. So just for example I can see the warden class but couldn't actually start to level one if I didn't have a level 50 somewhere

Not really something I'd favor.

I would, however, very much like the idea of a "custom class" in the vein of past TES games. Instead of picking three skill lines for you, players would get to choose from 3 skills lines. For balance, you might need some limitations (like not letting certain skill lines go together.)

Maybe that's something that could unlock at end game? (honestly don't like that idea either)
