How would you describe this game?

Post » Sat Oct 19, 2013 6:35 am

Specifically to another MMO player. I am looking more for how an MMO player would describe this game to another MMO player. Not being an MMO player perse, I don't seem to be able to describe this game in such a way that informs an MMO player of what they want to know.

Well that is the topic.

Action combat MMORPG with no class / playstyle restrictions.

Edit: Small correction.

Unplayable.

But seriously, probably as an live-action, themepark massively online role playing game. I know a lot of people don't think it's an MMO in it's "true from" but for me it's undeniable when you have battles with one hundred versus one hundred.

Okay...maybe I should clarify more as I wasn't very specific. What sets the game apart and makes it interesting, likely to be successful and unique compared to to other MMOs? Basically, what are its selling points?

Like I said earlier, classes don't define your gameplay. To me personally that is a big thing.

Also one of the major points is the PvP system. It's being made by the same people that made DaoC PvP, which is held as "the PvP system" of all MMO's so far.

Edit: And don't listen to NO_Walking. He's still hurt that the game isn't P2P like he was so sure it was going to be. This is definitely not a WoW clone. There is almost nothing in common with WoW and TESO.

Standard action MMO fair with pretty pointless classes.

My list of pros:

Active combat (aiming, blocking etc)

3 faction RvR

No item equip restrictions based on class

A large majority of skills are derived from sources other than class choice

skills are limited by resources, not cooldowns

Only 5 hotbar slots, but literally hundreds of useful skills, so informed skill selection (especially in large groups) is a major component

Rich and diverse world of TES (obv)

All I can think of for now.
