You better hope it comes out of your belly button.

So so. I usually have dreams of surviving in a zombie apocalypse.

Can't say Nightmares are fun, but once I did have a dream where everyone in my dream was dead...including me. That was an interesting dream, and yet disturbing too.

FYI: this was long before I had ever heard of the zombie apocalypse or TWD.

Actually it varies. One time it was a Lucky 38 type of building but the settlement got overrun another was grittier and I was helping in the defense of a small settlement and woke up as I was being eaten, that was pretty terrifying given my nightmares often feel real.

Lol fair-enough; most of my dreams are repeats, changed only by the fact that the people in the dream know that they are repeats.

OT my last nightmare was so-long ago now I can't remember it. Usually if a dream is getting pretty grim I wake myself up or control it from the inside if it'a another damn repeat.

I used to have a recurring nightmare that somehow involved a lion, a labyrinth, and a gun that needed floppy disks to function. I really do not want to know what that means. >.<

lol

and er no I don't find them fun. I mean, you were being eaten by a bear - did it hurt in your dream?? Cause dreams like that I get pain in them.

I once was chased by a T-Rex in a dream :( it didn't eat me though

I've had dreams before where I get squished and that's a bizarre feeling cause it's like a load of pressure on you but not quite hurting and then you wake up like, I almost died then

At the time, I had never heard of Resident Evil. Like I said, long before I had ever heard of the zombie apocalypse. Not before I had ever heard of zombies, mind you. I've known about them since the 70's.

Yeah, I'm that old.

Anyone ever have falling dreams where they fall and hit the ground and die? Those are the worst. :cryvaultboy:

I've had dreams where I'm falling, but then realize I can fly. Those are cool to have...at least when you remember before you go splat.

I love dreams that scare you so much you wake up petrified, afraid to fall back asleep. I suppose that's why I almost never have them. In fact I can't recall experiencing one in years.

For too many years, mine tended to center on my final days in the military, my actual retirement day, or a day or two immediately afterward. What happened was that (in my dream) I realized I was about to retire (or had recently retired) but had not yet begun any sort of out-processing or packing, nor made arrangements for my future. The dream basically consisted of me thinking, "Oh no! What am I gonna do?!?!"

I hate those! Thankfully, they ceased some years ago.

But what I wanna relate is my best remembered dream. Not a favorite mind you, just one that has never left my mind. As best I recall, it occurred during my final years in the military, sometime between 1988 and 1992, certainly no earlier than 1985.

Details of the early portions of this dream are lost but consisted, as did many back then, of my squadron on tour, traveling by bus. At some point the bus parked. We disembarked. For whatever reason I entered a very large building and explored its many dimly lit corridors.

This went on some time. No one was seen, nor any sound heard. I eventually entered a very large, low ceilinged (standard 8'), room. Weak overhead florescent fixtures provided what little lighting was available. Walls, from what could be discerned in the dimness, were white or off-white, as was the linoleum-tiled floor. The room was barren save for one small utility desk with a chair at its side.

At this point my dream-self knew I wasn't feeling well and that this was some sort of medical facility I'd come to for treatment. I sat in the chair. A medical assistant in white coat entered. He asked me to tilt my head toward the ceiling. I did so. He dipped two cotton swabs in what I knew to be ether and shoved one up each of my nostrils. He instructed me not to move and left the room.

The next ten or more dream-minutes were spent alone in the large dimly lit room with my head tilted toward the ceiling and those swabs up my nose. The smell was overbearing. Absolutely nothing else occurred.

I heard the door open, glanced toward it with my eyes (keeping my head tilted up), and saw the assistant stick his head in the room. He then said, and this is an exact quote, "Would you hurry up?!?!?", closed the door, and was never seen again.

I spent another ten or so dream-minutes by myself in the large dimly lit room with my head titled toward the ceiling with those ether-soaked swabs up my nose. Absolute nothing else occurred.

I woke up.

I once had a dream that my grandmother was a crazy, alcoholic serial killer, who would shoot all my family with her shotgun as she pursued me.

I stayed away from my grandmother for a while after that. :ermm:

I woke up like 20 minutes ago. I had a dream that was a "WoW style" themed raid, although it became less and less like that as the dream progressed. It started off as a large raid group raiding the capital city of the opposing faction. Somewhere in-between every raid member dieing/disappearing and after killing the "boss", it turned more "realistic". Somewhere along the dream, I became the captain of some expedition, in which our goal was to find gold. We found the gold (after the WoW raid and killing the boss) and brought it back to the base. It was quite a lot of gold, and I carried it back in the pockets of my coat. I took one piece of gold and broke it off and gave it a tiny bit to everyone who contributed to the expedition, and the council members (they were like mages that were the elders/leaders of our organization). With 96% of the gold left in my pockets, I walked out of the room into the kitchen Suddenly, the driver of the ship (yeah, the dream took a pirate turn) came up to me and told me the gold was cheese. He took a piece of cheese from the refrigerator (apparently pirates own refrigerators) and compared the "gold" to the slice of American cheese. It was one and the same. I asked him if anyone else knew and he shook his head. The dream ended. I mean, I did stuff the gold in my pockets and easily broke pieces of it off to give to other people, and the gold was in flat slices! It was obviously cheese.

I dreamt of fighting and being absorbed by The Thing all last night. Pretty scary, gory stuff. But at least it didn't turn me a pony :frog:

You're probably the reason they brought it in...

If you have a dream and you wake up wanting more of it then it probably wasn't a nightmare...
