Feel lots are pretty nasty. When I was a kid we raised our own beef on a couple acres of irrigated pasture (usually just two steers at at a time for all that land). Dad gave them really high quality feed in addition to the green grass and they had a nice place to romp around and play. It was sad (for a kid) when it was time for them to go to the locker plant, but it was absolutely the best beef I've ever had in my life. I've never tasted anything - even in an expensive steakhouse - that was as good. Basically, it was free range organic before we even knew what that was. Now I don't even want to know where it comes from (because I know its basically like that aerial shot).
