Well, I know I was stuck there for a long time (probably killed me 20 times.) Beating him literally made me weep with joy
He's notorious for being one of the toughest in the series.

I played Demons before Dark Souls was even out, so to me it will always feel harder. Having already played DaS, you definitely have an advantage on being able to draw from that experience.

For the unprepared, he's an eye-opener to Demon's Souls difficulty. (in case you haven't realized the game is hard before, you'll learn it in 2-2).

Dark Souls 2 Beta has been changed to 10th November, due to a huge error in the servers causing all NA version of the beta to bug. Time is 7-10 AM GMT.

ugh I remember that one too... got lucky on my 5 or 6th try when it got stuck and I was able to spam him with magic from a distance

I plugged in Demon's Souls last night and good god was I rusty! I think I need to start a new character and go through noob training again haha!
