TESO or ESO

How do you think our upcoming MMO should be abbreviated? How have you abbreviated it up until now? I personally prefer TESO but ESO seems to be the popular choice around. The abbreviation is a... peculiarly crucial part of an MMO. So let us see what the community thinks!

No need to have "the" in anything's title in my opinion.

The Devs use ESO, so that pretty much settles it IMO.

The reason I went with TESO is because we always abbreviated TES as... well TES, so I thought I'd just add online in front of that.

For some reaso. I thought this was TES vs ESO, but as others have stated ESO is pretty much official.

Everyone calls the single player series TES, so I'll call this game TESO.

I'd never sink as low to create a topic like that, haha.

I drop the "the" when talking out loud about ESO to friends, so it makes sense to drop it for the acronym. Besides, TESO is too many letters.

For abbreviation's sake, ESO, but when referring to the game, I think that The Elder Scrolls Online sounds better.

I usually say TESO I think. I've said ESO a few times if I'm not mistaken but TESO is prefered. It's easier to say, and it keeps the "TES" in it, rather than "ES" which you never call The Elder Scrolls ( unless you're the son of a fishstick ).

It really doesn't matter to me but I think ESO before TESO.

I like calling it ESO because in the uk we have big retail outlets called tesco and it reminds me of them stores whenever I see TESO

I think calling it ESO just sounds better.

IIRC, there was an old thread about this. Can't find it :/

EDIT: Found it. http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1466512-im-tired-of-it/

Its called The Elder Scrolls, as a series, and always abbreviated TES. TESO is much easier to say than ESO and rolls of the tongue better.

I always used to use TESO. But then Paul Sage came out and said all the devs prefer ESO.

So that's what I use now. Call me a sell out.
