Thoughts?
Nope, would not fit into the lore as far as i can tell, and even then, Imperials were only playable in Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim, it is not unusual that they are unplayable.
The Imperials are the villains in this game, they are being lead by the ancestor of JAgar Tharn and apparently consorting with the Daedra instead of fighting them off. Also, why would ANY of the three factions accept an Imperial into their ranks?
lol . You racist ;..;
Nords are most honorable of all the races ;P
(LET THE RACE WAR BEGIN)
They're obviously smarter than the imperials though, At least the nords were not stupid enough to not only let off a magical nuke, but then make a "deal with the devil".
And imperials did not accept Ulfric as high king which he was supposed to be as he defeated the old high king. But Ulfric also was a fool for starting civil war.
Please, do not start a Civil war debate, PLEASE. They never end well, ever.
It may have been nice to play as Imperials (also, regarding the war, not just as loners among other factions) but ... eh, not like we'll die without being able to play them.
I'd like to see Imperials as a playable race. Those of you who say it would go against the lore, why do you expect the game to always be at the same level of story progression? There might come a patch/expansion in which we finally fend off Molag Bal for the time being.
That would be something for the far future though, I guess. Depending on how far ZO takes the game and lets the story progress, which in turn may be very dependent on success of the game.
For now, it would simply not go against lore, but (overall) gameplay IF we're talking about a playable Imperial side, not just race. Then again, I could imagine it to be fun to be able to play as one (also story-wise) to try and fight the other 3 alliances. Depending on how the game goes it should at least be considered again by ZO if you ask me.
In general: Don't bet on it for now.
Yeah, even if we get them, it won't be for a few years at least.
