Sorceror PetsMinionsSummons, Permanent?

Post » Mon Nov 04, 2013 9:22 am

After doing some research or dare I say "theorycrafting" about what I am going to play in ESO, I have come to the conclusion that I want to be a Sorceror but specifically investing heavily in the Daedric Summoning tree. I have only one question that is bothering me and that is whether the Unstable Familiar and Winged Twilight are permanently out. I have mostly come to the conclusion they are because of what I have found on the Tamriel Foundry site that lists the abilities and their description. Basically it says that the max magika of the sorceror will be permanently decreased while a minion is sustained (how I am making sense of it) but on the bottom it shows a passive ability that increases the duration of the winged familiar, if it is permanent then why is this there? Some people are saying its a mistype or an outdated tooltip but I am not sure what to think. Shoddycast in one of their recent videos about Sorceror's skill's says that they are out until death. Maybe someone here knows for sure?

Well... If there is a passive that extends the duration of the Winged Twightlight then logic should tell us that they are not permanently out and have a duration.

The info on the skill lines TF posted came from ZOS so we can assume it should be the most up to date.

I think that it is still outdated because I doubt they would make the pets use max magika and then not be permanent. Temporary pets are a turn off, maybe they realized that?

not sure where you're getting the taking max magicka thing from, should re-read the info perhaps. http://tamrielfoundry.com/sorcerer/

They reduce the casters max majicka by a small amount, not take max magicka to summon.

Thats what I mean, what is the difference? The point is I wanted to know if they are up till death or for X amount of time (60 seconds) but there is no point in asking because I should've realized that nobody can answer it.

the way I read it is if you have, say a max Magica of 600 when you some of the winged Twilight your max magica pool gets shrunk down to about 500 or whatever they choose while its alive (until someone kills it)
