i got this error after attempting to play the game

running the game as admin didn't help neither did running the steamactivation.exe as an admin

when it launches it goes into a black screen which cant be aborted unless i restart the PC (even if i end task the game)

all I want to do is get the game running and then figure out how to successfully and properly modify it

(already own it for 360 and it gets boring fast due to lack of anything to do but now that I have a PC capable of playing games I have been wanting to get a game that i could actually mod kind of upset that when I finally got one i cant even get it to work in vanilla state)

That has nothing to do with your PC's ability to play the game, it's saying you don't have the license to play it. It's a security issue.

If you bought the game off Steam, contact Steam Support and submit a request for help.

it works if i opt to play it offline which still wants me to sign into rockstars social club with my xbox account forcing it to go online which brings it back to black screen mode .-.

ok got it working kinda but it seems extremely laggy compared to console version cant make teh game windowed unless do some reg editing or somethign apparently

uhm how do make the game run smoother i can make it run really smoothly if i set it to 800*600 but theres jaggies EVERYWHERE
