Pets for characters?

Post » Tue Nov 05, 2013 9:43 pm

Other MMO's have done it, but that's not why I think this would be a nice feature. It would be cool if you got pets for doing certain things, such as getting a war hound after helping a dude out.

They wouldn't serve a combat purpose, they'd just follow you and... be there. Sounds pointless, but it's just another little thing some people would like to use. Seeing as they wouldn't serve a direct purpose, perhaps there could be a toggle which makes them not appear on your screen if you don't want to see a horde of cats at your local guild.

They don't have to be normal cats, either. How about a baby troll or even a small cliffracer hovering overhead? You know, something like that?

This is just a thought and I highly doubt this would be in the game, just curious as to what you guys would think if pets were a part of the game.

There will be vanity pets in the game. A nice small optional feature I'm glad they added to the game.

Yep. Already confirmed. Vanity pets definitely exist in ESO.

Yea, they did confirmed it some time ago. I just wish they would add an option to "turn them off" and simply not see them. For me its highly annoying to see crowd of people and crowd of ridiculous nonsensical pets together.

Same here. I will have a pet its called a horse. I wont be buying any vanity pets as I hate seeing them in games. It cheapens the experience for me.

Vanity pets (or Pokémon as they are called in WoW now) can be neat.

Don't get me wrong I'm not completely against having vanity pets however from past experience the following seems to happen. Vanity pet goes up for sale on the store, sells thousands of them, everyone has that same pet following them so you see the exact same pet model running around everywhere, which won't really give me a feeling of having a companion or unique follower. I'm sure I would buy a vanity pet if it looked cool enough though, just hope I can toggle off everyone else's

I just hope they have slider bars for my pets exact fur color, eye size, whisker length etc.

If they have them for people why not pets too?

j/k btw, I don't give a flying Bull Netch about vanity pets.
