Yes there is. Click on your name bar at the upper left corner of the screen, choose ignore, enter the screen name and the parts you want to ignore or block. Easy peasy.

Out of curiousity, why isn't there an ignore button in people's profiles? Going to your own settings to ignore someone else is counterintuitive.

This way you don't have to visit their profile, which can be logged, to block them.
