Will Emporer be the only way to make a name for yourself?

Im never going to be 'great' at pvp and thats not my only interest anyway.

It would be cool if we could be known throughout the community or become part of the ESO lore by crafts we undertake.

I'd love to be recognized for being an expert smithy, or enchanter. Maybe make unique weapons that can become known for their individuality rather than just crafting the same as what everyone else can.

As for enchanting/alchemy & cooking, it would be cool if there was different levels of quality your end product would be depending on techniques used. Discovering new crafts could be cool too..

If you dont OWN in pvp , nobody will hear about or fear you..

Even if you wont be "emperor" , you may be a great leader in mass pvp or maybe the grim reaper of 1v1 , people will know your name and run or hide in fear at your sight.

Crafting or smithy buahaha , sadly no chance to be the real deal , but still ...you may be known by your guild or some that buy from you mats and gear

In DAoC everyone knew the names of the good raid leaders who lead the armies that captured the relics. If your success rate was good and you pretty much always managed to get a relic back to your realm everyone knew because the bonus appeared in their stats and people would talk about how that bonus got there. These bonuses helped in both PvE and PvP so even players who never PvP'ed would know who got them that bonus eventually through word of mouth. Also when the good raid leaders called for a relic raid, players would be much more inclined to answer the call if the raid leader was known to get the job done on a regular basis.

The Emperor I don't know if that benefits the Alliance that holds it but if it does then that will be significant as well. But guaranteed the Elder Scroll raid leaders will become well known because everyone in your Alliance benefits if the raid is successful.

Well they did just recently say that 'Emperor' would not be the only PvP title/rank that could be attained during PvP. So who knows what all you could get ranked for.

I'm assuming there will be achievements and titles for PvE stuff too. Back in the old days of WoW for example raiders were pretty much revered by everybody in the game.

From my MMO experience, I remember the interesting people. Being good at the game is great, but I can't remember even the names of most of the PvP groups I spent time with.

If you want to make a name for yourself as a crafter, I'd recommend helping new players out with free stuff. Guilds dedicated to this will also be highly known, and generally liked.

I can't remember the name of a single faction leader in later Ultima Online days, but I can remember a guy who sneaked around dungeons looting locked chests and people's corpses, haha. He was very cool. Key here is to be interesting, be nice, and keep your cool.

NO ..this wrong is. To help da poor ...buahaha , indeed you will be recognize by the poor you help.

I prefer instead to be recognize by the ones that after encounter me , go in the death realm.

I remember back in old days i was a great trader ,and mats gatherer in Anarchy Online , I almost have people give me tells ,asking me about prices and some begin to make the market about my prices. After i begin to buy all the things i need like ( full dragon set ) they all told me i Ebay my account buahah ,because i was so skilled din 2 months i make so much money that others wont be able to do in years.

Indeed all know me but what for ? trades , selling and crafting. After some time I begin to pvp at towers and in those maps the game allow to kill each other ,places suppression field low enough ..and soon the glory come , people begin to realize how much i worth after i begin to crush them skulls ,and they remember my name.

PS : To make a name of yourself and be " Da Real Deal" you need to sweat more .. more than to craft , mine or to be the poor helper

some crafters became kinda famous in swtor by being the first ones to craft unique and special items, some were spammed with requests and offers the moment they logged on and not just by me lol
