It occurs to me that I am quite happy with my current avenue of employment, and worked quite hard just to get it, and just wondered how everyone else in CD felt about their own.
I'm an apprentice with an establishment that's is consistently awarded with commendations for it's apprentice scheme, I'm being paid more than minimum wage (and certainly more than the meager first-year apprentice wage I could be on) for contributing nothing to the operation of the company for the next two years, they pay something like 23% of my salary into my pension (I haven't had much experience but I understand that the national average is like 7% or something), I'm quite excited to finally finish my time here and explore everything that the company has to offer and am genuinely sympathetic to what we do which is largely why I spent close to £700 (certainly over $1000) in travel expenses and the two-years it took to finally get it. It's still dull, often tedious work mind, and the hours/breaks are a slog for someone who's only just left college (being a smoker, having two wait a good three hours for a few minutes relief grates on me but I suppose I have to deal with that now) and is used to that system but I'm more than happy to bare it because I genuinely enjoy going there.. to an extent anyway.
Who else here is content with their current lot, or even happy, or else frustrated with your current career?
