L33t Beta People

Well Hello There,

I'm seeing a lot of [censored] of the franchise blasting disproportionately at beta players at the slightest hint or mention of a want for a schedule or a speck of information about the betas. I received a beta invite on the 19th around midnight and didn't check it until the morning. The email was happily received, however it provided no information about beta forums, beta scheduling, or even a list of testing objectives zenimax wished to achieve in the session.

In the future, having been part of 4 closed betas, and 2 alpha releases in the past 5 years, i would highly suggest for more effective testing, that you include links to the beta forums and scheduling so that players can be present during the tests. I am a really devoted fan myself, but i do enjoy the heavy-handed over-protective fandom rage when someone asks for a glass of water, so .... flame on? and please, send a schedule next time.

  • The Elder Scrolls Online beta test is under NDA (non-disclosure agreement); you shouldn’t be discussing details of the test in public places such as these forums, social media, streaming video, et cetera. If you’ve gotten in it’s OK to let people know that, but you can’t say anything else about the test.
  • We have a private forum for the ESO Beta; the account information you need to log-in was sent in a separate e-mail from your beta invite.
  • If you are having trouble, or otherwise need help; you can check for solutions on our http://help.elderscrollsonline.com/, the help section of the ESO beta forums, by submitting a http://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/ask, or calling customer support (details can be found in your invite). It’s very difficult for us to help if you ask here or on our social media channels, and chances are any such requests would break NDA.
  • If people post other threads about beta, or break the NDA; please let them know of their error politely and direct them to this thread. If content needs to be removed you should report it with the button found under every post.

No link to the Beta Forum in your email??
Try loading the email in your browser. Any links that are not appearing should then be viewable and click able.
