PvE vs PvP --> Where will you spend your time?

Post » Thu Nov 28, 2013 12:36 am

I'd like to know how the community is broken down, in general.

For this poll, lets assume PvE and PvP are done extremely well, from your perspective. How do you see yourself spending the bulk of your time in ESO?

1. 100% PvE

2. 100% PvP

3. 50%-50% PvE - PvP

4. PvE mostly, dabble in PvP

5. PvP mostly, dabble in PvE

Is there a poll?
Depending on how much PvE..then half and half. If there is a decent amount of PvE..75/25

If they are both done well, then I will probably do something like 95% PvP and 5% PvE. Since I do love PvP in a large open environment like Cyrodiil seems to be so I see myself spending most of my time there.
I'll probably do PvE now and then but not a lot.

I'll probably mostly PvE while leveling. PvP more at end-game.

If the PVP is anything like it was in the now defunct Warhammer (RVR/castle sieges), then 50/50. Anything like the others (Rift/Secret World/SWTOR) then just PVE. WAR was the only PVP I have actually enjoyed.

4. PvE mostly, dabble in PvP

My main reason for even dabbling in PvP is to explore some of Cyrodiil.

Not enough game parameters yet to determine that with a high degree of accuracy, but probably at least 50% pvp.

Mostly PvP but I will do all the pve content plus max out crafting (even if I have to make alts to do so).

Depends on how much of a "difference" me and my mates can make on the battlefield. If I get a game where I feel like a medieval batlefield commander, then it will be hard to drag me back into the dungeons.

Assuming PvP is as epic as I'm hoping 70-80% PvP, 20-30% PvE.

But that doesn't mean I won't still try to explore as much content as makes sense for the character I'm RPing at the time. In TES games I typically don't go for completion, as my character would do all the things in the world to begin with. But I will spend much time in PvE, but otherwise would want to see my alliance to victory.

I would have answered this question differently before this weekend. Now I'm not so sure of the answer. I guess we'll have to see what changes get made to the systems.

PvE only.

Castle wars doesn't count as true PvP to me so if there is any of that I will join (or pvp raids). Arena doesn't feel like PvP to me either. It's the nasty world ganking I hate and what has made me an advocate of PvE only games. Being flagged for PvP is okay so long as you absolutely cannot be engaged if you flag is down.

Also factored in is how bad the death penalty will be? How annoyed will I get when I die? Will my body be camped? Will the rewards for PvP be so great no one plays the actual game? Will I be left alone without quest or dungeon partners because everyone ran off to do arena?

I choose option 3 as I like to do both. I am going to do my best to experience everything the game has to offer.
