Has anyone checked out this game? I played it a bit, and to me it feels a bit like Starwars Battlefront. I like how you can actually rank up to commander and give fleet orders and such.

Has anyone else tried it out? Or are there similar games even like this (other than starwars)

Looks like it was made 10 years ago. Animations look terrible.

To me, it does look that horrible. It is missing all the graphical aspects you would expect to be standard for modern games. Ive seen better from Minecraft.

I've pointed out many a times graphics =/= good game.

Mind that, though, this game doesn't look overly impressive to me since it's not my type.

Minecraft before or after custom textures :P

huh. I really didn't (and still don't) see the graphics as a problem. I actually like its simplicity and colorful color pallet, which is something modern games (IMO) lack. But I also take Crackdown and Borderlands over Skyrim or Battlefield any day (graphically).

To me, it's just fun to start off doing grunt work, then slowly gain more authority as you rank up. Commander is just great, allowing you to actually play the game kinda like a basic 4x game. The ability to actually advance in the ranks, and do higher ranking stuff (like make attack orders, lead troops) is not something I've seen in a game before.

But to each their own. There is a demo is you wanted to give it a shot.

As pointed out before, graphics doesn't make a good game.

Heck, most of my favorite games are either old or "badly graphic'd" games (Like Halo CE and Minecraft).

It's on my wishlist, but still I chose about ten other games to get before that one. Lol, maybe next time.

Graphics are a huge part of games for me. Not because graphics make better games, but they make good games better, or conversely, bad games worse. Graphics are a part of the game, and if I don't like what I am looking at, I can't enjoy the game. I can't get lost in a game world if the world looks like someone took a crap on a napkin and called it a texture.

Im not saying every game should have ultra realistic graphics. I think Minecraft graphics are wonderfully fitting for what the game aims to do. A actually despise the "realistic" texturepacks. Skyrim on the otherhand, IMO needs the more realistic graphics, because lets be honest, it would not be the same if the graphics and animations looked like Doom. Graphics matter to everyone to some extent. I just put more weight on it as I like to enjoy what I am spending hours of my life looking at.

It goes along with why I dislike reading. My imagination gets more from graphic novels than words alone.

That's like saying everything on the PS2 and earlier are crap because their graphics aren't up to snuff.

RE 1/2/3 had horrible graphics but are great games, same with tons of games I could list forever. If one of them came out today as it was originally released, you'd call it crap because the graphics aren't high def?
