Pokémon franchise question, ever eat or [censored] A Pokémon

Post » Wed Dec 04, 2013 2:24 pm

I've only played Fire Red and am almost done with Crystal. Never seen the show...

I played through the PETA Pokémon flash game and it was quite disturbing. Is eating Pokémon a regular thing in the shows or later games?

Edit: A word is censored out of the title. Or force a Pokémon to have sixual acts against its will?

I can only guess these things described by PETA are made up.

Your first mistake was paying attention to anything PETA has made. But on another note...

Dafuq?

I dont think an anime show for children's likely to feature the forced sixual assault of a Pokemon.

Yes, a couple of occasions in the early seasons but I don't know about the newer ones. Here is a piece about it via http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mon_food:

As for having sixual relations, I do not know nor do I want to know...

I am sure eating Pokemon and pokemon related Byproducts was mentioned in an issue of the "Pokemon Adventures" manga

while the Anime and the "Electric Tale of Pikachu" manga were targeted toward a younger audience, the "Pokemon Adventures" Manga was targeted toward a more "mature" audience (we have Pokemons heads being cut off, Green has her top ripped off during a gym leader battle)

A (serious) post on Memebase that I saw a while back brought up a theory if "pokephila" exists:

I don't have any comment for it but I just thought I would post that for reference.

Well even in X and Y if you go to the restaurants, the chefs incorporate Pokémon into the ingredients (though not the creatures themselves, example, one says he uses Arbok's toxins to make a dish).

Whatever meat is being eaten in the show could be presumed to be Pokémon though. As for the six, unless they're referring to how Pokémon can breed even if they don't like each other, I've never heard of it.

*Looks at Holy Assassins sig, thinks it remarkably apt considering the topic*

Eat a Pokemon, no.

[censored] a Pokemon? Are you kidding me?

Though you have to wonder what the designers had in mind when you look at some of the Pokemon, Gardevoir for example. That one was allegedly supposed to be some kind of magical warrior, and ended up like that.

Jinx isn't censored anymore, you know. I heard Milktank tastes amazing. Pokemon Special(called Pokemon Adventures in the US) is actually aimed at the exact same age group as Electric Tale of Pikachu. It's considered a child's manga. It even was censored more heavily than most manga is when it got translated into English.

Pokemon being eaten is a regular thing. It isn't referenced much in the anime, but the games aren't shy about making any references to it. PETA is telling the truth about the Pokemon eating thing, but they view it as wrong due to their viewpoint on eating real life animals. Not dismissing them at all, just mentioning why they even thought this was worth speaking of.

Well, I'd do stuff with Mewtwo... But it wouldnt be against his will. Infact I'd prefer it be against my will. Repeatedly. While I pretend to struggle.

>_> mewtwo is hot. http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt194/kamrom/mewshorts.png

Regarding Pokemon husbandry: Ditto is almost exclusively used in the games for the sake of breeding, especially rare Pokemon that you can only get one of, Pokemon with only one gender, or Pokemon that are otherwise incapable of breeding. Nothing in the games seems to indicate it being non-consensual though.

PETA made the game as a publicity stunt like everything else they do.

None of that ever is shown or mentioned, they just wanted attention. It would be a nightmare( and VERY stupid) for Nintendo if they actually incorporated those themes into the franchise.

i find ghost pokemon to be the hardest to eat. or steel....

and we certainly don't want to be eating a poison pokemon. that is a big No No.

i think a nice roast Pidgey for sunday dinner is the best though.

I'd guess the parallel pokemon that for most intents and purposes of our own livestock would be pokemon that are regularly eaten. In place of cows, we get Milkitanks and Tauroses, Mareep as sheep, and etc.

For for Poke'[censored]...no.
