Is that time again...

I only have a few favorite games that I love to play again and again. I have this thing where If I'm in the mood for a favorite game I have to play not for 1 hour or 2 but play an entire series from beginning to end. Earlier this summer I had to play through FO3 and then FNV. Then I rediscovered the world of Dark Souls and had back2back2back runs through Demon's and then Dark Souls a few times. Like this last week where Epic Name Bro did this "Soulsgiving week" things where he invited people to make new characters and make populate the servers again. Did then entire playthrough in that week and there were phantoms everywhere. The world felt alive.

Now is that time again where I have the urge to revisit my last commander Shepard and do the whole Mass Effect thing again. Just finished the first one, with my first renegade fem shep, did every renegade option I could. I'm installing ME2 right now continuing the same pattern and I'm actually kind of excited to see what this Shepard will do with her ruthlessness and since EA dropped the whole thing with the online passes I can download the cerberus pack and maybe this will feel like a whole new game again. Hopefully I can finish 3 before the year is over.

Do you have this kind of thing where you have the urge is such that you have to focus primarily on a series of favorites as certain time passes? Which games, series, movies, books or whatever do you have?

(I should also mention that I'm running through Breaking Bad since I saw the first episode to see what was the hype all about and then got hooked. Going through season 5 now, I don't watch anything else. Even Stopped watching The Walking Dead because I'm focused only on Breaking Bad. After that, I feel like maybe I should say goodbye to Spartacus one more time)

Not really, I don't have much time for entertainment though.

I plan on rereading the Inheritance Cycle someday, now that my English is good enough to really understand it.

Yeah, I hear you. Maybe that's the reason why I'm picky and only focus on one thing at a time.

My english is not so good either. Had to play through Metal Gear Solid 2 a lot of times in the 2000's to really getting close enough to understanding it.

Starcraft and Brood War.

I re-read the story in the booklet and play through the campaign one more time. I've enjoyed the story and game setting more over now that Blizzard has completely redone what SC was at the core.

When you know how great the plot was for the original Starcraft + Brood War, it's really hard to appreciate the direction in which Blizzard took the series with Wings of Liberty and Heart of the Swarm.
