An idea for collision

Post » Sat Dec 07, 2013 10:21 am

Everyone knows that ESO wont have collision detection. Personally I don't care but I know some people do.

So in my opinion I think that in PvE obviously npcs/monsters should Have collision. BUT in PvP you would essentially have no collision with people in your faction but you would Have collision with people from a different faction because if they block the way you could just kill them. do you think this is a sound idea? if not please tell perhaps I am overlooking an obvious fact.

And now the horse has been rendered into a very thin veneer.

Seriously though, the topic has been done to death. It's also a bit late to be implementing CD when they would basically need to delay the game for potentially a year to recode the game.

While I respect that you want to make different groups happy, I feel compelled to point out that this would still require a rewrite of their game engine most likely, and is probably out of the question for a long time. Especially if they want to make any sort of reasonable launch window in the next like 3 years, which I'm sure they do.

Yeah, it's the sort of thin that does need to be built into a game early on. Otherwise, the alternative is to basically slap some half assed 'fix' on that only provides limited effects and pleases no one.

I rather not have it than have some poor attempt at it.
