Can you believe DOOM is 20 years old? Pretty nuts. We caught up with a bunch of devs at id to have them share their favorite #DOOMemories. Read them at Bethblog http://www.bethblog.com/2013/12/10/happy-20th-doom/

Hmmm... It's a shame the folks at Bethesda didn't give Carmack a Bethblog sendoff. Makes this gesture seem kinda hollow.
Edit:
I guess this is why you chose not to celebrate 22 years of groundbreaking work.

Ah DooM, the game that launched PC gaming as a mainstream platform.
It's weird that out of the 15 people interviewed for Bethblog's 'DOOM memories' on the front page, the majority of them were QA people who had been with the company since October 2013. What's baffling is the lack of comment from Kevin Cloud, since he's the last person at id who actually worked on Doom (Willits worked on Ultimate, but that's not the same). Maybe he's quietly left id?
Odd to see more celebration on the Steam Forums (SPUF) then here.
Anyway, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VyN7OtObuvkwas awesome.
For whatever reason this part of the beth forums remains very empty, the only thing that would bring more attention is... doom4 news? Maybe
Anyway it's great to know Doom remains a great game after all this time. Still playing it to this day, alot of times with the software "ugly" colors because I find them charming, heh.
Probably because for most of it's life, Doom was not associated with this publisher.
Yeah, that's probably why. All the Doom fans already have other forums they are happy in
