Are you generally into other fantasy worlds?

Just wondering if you Elder Scrollers usually dig other kinds of fantasy stuff, like, say, Star Wars, Tolkien...

Myself, I feel like TES world is so good that it pretty much takes my interest away from the other fantasy worlds... :D I guess it was my first big love in anything related to fantasy worlds. I don't know whether there are some worlds as well-designed and deep as our TES, and I don't care. Somehow, there's always room to delve deeper and deeper into it, so I don't feel the need to pay that close attention to those other, probably lesser, less interesting fantasy worlds. ^_^ That said, I like Tolkien books and movies a lot, and the same goes with Star Wars, whereas I don't much care about the extended universe (except the KOTORs, especially KOTOR II, where super awesome!). I have to answer "No." to my poll though: I don't care about them to the same extent as I care about TES.

How about you? Do you dig other fantasies in the same scale you do Elder Scrolls?

Of course!

Nothing better than getting away from real life and getting lost in a fantasy world, plus, I like to see and read about all kinds of lore.

KOTOR 1&2 were my favorite Star wars games ever and till this day I always wonder what "true" sith were...anyway I answered Yes though it was a tough call xD.

I love the LOTR universe as well and I've read the LOTR now after seeing the movies I'll read Hobbit too. The upcoming LOTR ARPG looks temptimg.

I'm also interested in Witcher novels but I haven't read them yet. I'll wait to finish the games and then read but unluckily it seems not all the novels are translated in English. I want to read them in the correct order.

Although it doesn't really count as "fantasy" I've read all the Assassin's Creed novels too, they're quite a good complement to the games.

The only fantasy world I have fully devoted myself to was Tolkien's legendarium. I was given a copy of the infamous Ace Books editions of Lord of the Rings by a girl who was a couple of years older and who had lost interest in it. Later I bought the authorized Houghton Mifflin edition and, later still, The Silmarillion. I was one of the obnoxious legions of American teenagers who wrote gushing fan letters to Tolkien. I received a very nice, very polite reply about a year later. I wrote back, but he died before he could respond a second time.

I was mildly interested in the Star Wars universe for many years. I was more interested in the extended universe than the stories in the films. But my interest in Star Wars waned when I encountered Morrowind. At that point Elder Scrolls lore displaced Star Wars lore in my brain. Apparently I have a limited number of brain cells to devote to fantasy data. One fantasy world pushes out another.

Nowadays I divide my time between Elder Scrolls lore and Tolkien lore. That's about all the lore obsession I can handle these days.
